Beyond Infants of Dunwoody: The Next Step
Our Dunwoody Academy Three to Five Program provides a sensory based educational experience where all preschool children have the opportunity to learn and grow. Using the combined experience and curriculum development of both Dunwoody Academy and Children's Special Services, LLC, this fully inclusive program serves typical children, children with identified developmental delays, and children identified as gifted and talented. The program offers a progressive, innovative curriculum that encourages the development of creativity, self-direction, positive peer interactions and communication. Our experience in individualized education allows us to guide each child toward his or her potential. We are committed to provide an exceptional developmental program with small group sizes and low teacher student ratios. Full or part-time enrollment is available based on family preference.
Academy Curriculum
The Modified Developmental Preschool at Dunwoody Academy uses the Creative Curriculum and The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum for Ages 3-5. Based on Piagets's Developmental Scale, the Denver Developmental Tests, and the Southern California Sensory Integration Observations, this age-based curriculum is criterion referenced for each level. In addition to the Creative Curriculum, the Academy offers the award winning social skills program POP™ Personal Options and Preferences and the national handwriting and pre-handwriting program, WIN™ Write Incredibly Now. These programs will be guided by Children's Special Services, LLC.
