Infants of Dunwoody's classrooms are exceptionally well equipped with objects and materials for manipulation, exploration, and construction. There is a large, natural outdoor play area with direct access and a smaller outdoor classroom called the Science and Ecology center. The school also has a separate dining room with a partially open kitchen, a sand, water and art area, and plenty of room for special classes and rainy day activities.

Infants of Dunwoody operates four classrooms for children from birth to three; a non-mobile infant room, and older infant room, a toddler room, and a two year old room. Children are placed in classrooms and progress according to their development, not chronological age. While most children's development falls in line with their age, we will not hold a child back who is developmentally ready for a more challenging environment. At the same time, we will not push a child forward who is not quite ready to go. Children are transitioned throughout the year based on their individual developmental growth.

At the age of three, children may be enrolled in Dunwoody Academy. Visit the Academy page for more information about our specialized approach for educating children and preparing all students for kindergarten.
